Musings from the mind of a modern day Sue.

About

This Grandma taught herself to quilt over thirty years ago. I tend to make a lot of scrappy quilts and enjoy applique and redwork. But, modern quilting has captured my attention.

I enjoy studying vintage and antique fabrics and quilts. My stash includes scraps from stitching clothing and crafts, yard sale, flea market and antique shop purchases, as well as, the latest quilt shop fabric palettes.

I enjoy attending quilt shows and retreats. I am the member of two local quilt guilds, the Michigan Quilt Network guild, and two national organizations – National Quilting Association & The American Quilt Study Group. My goal is to become an appraiser, when I finally have the time and money for the venture.

My grandchildren have invigorated my life. My husband & I enjoy time weekly with each of them.

  1. Sue, I have also made the Farm Animals Baby Quilt. I can’t remember what book or magazine the pattern was in. I would like to make another one. Do you remember were the pattern was??? I know I have it but can’t locate it in all my books. BLJohnston@md.metrocast.net

    • Barbara,

My sister has the book, so I will find out from her and let you know.

  2. Visiting from Inbox Jaunt. I’ve only been quilting for about a year, but I’m invested hook, line and sinker. 🙂
